Genesis
Passage
32:22-32

In Genesis 32, Jacob enters the night afraid, wrestling for control, and trusting in his own strength. But after an extraordinary encounter with God, he walks away blessed, changed, and with a limp.

In this sermon, we see how God sometimes uses our weakness to teach us what strength never could: to stop trusting ourselves and learn to cling to him. And ultimately, Jacob’s story points us to Jesus, who was wounded so that we might receive the blessing.
