City on a Hill

How do you see the church? For Christians today there will be many different responses ranging from loathing, through apathy or grudging compliance, to enthusiastic delight.  How should we view church - something which aspires to such heights but often falls well short of its own ideals?  In this series we attempt to look at the church as God sees it, full of strengths and weakness but still a beacon of hope to a troubled world.
