Why are there are so many different sorts of Christians, all claiming to be the real thing and all criticising the others? Surely if they're all worshipping the same God they should at least get along with each other? And with so many different perspectives how can we ever really be sure about anything Christian?
Many people find the Old Testament an irrelevant collection of unpleasant stories and bizarre religious rules. They see in it a vindictive and barbaric God who is a million miles away from the loving God proclaimed by Jesus Christ. Is there really any reason to keep this outdated and redundant relic of a primitive religion?
Understanding a persons True Identity can be really important. This morning we look at the huge question 'Who is God?' and how might this affect our own identities. We see how Jesus came to shift our understanding of God and how that brings freedom in our lives to enjoy Him in this unique relationship.
